Easy

Instructions

Convert a phrase to its acronym.

Techies love their TLA (Three Letter Acronyms)!

Help generate some jargon by writing a program that converts a long name like Portable Network Graphics to its acronym (PNG).

Reserved Addresses

The buffer for the input string uses bytes 64 - 196 of linear memory.

You may modify this buffer in place if you wish to avoid additional memory allocations

Hints

WebAssembly lacks the sort of string library typically found in higher level languages. This means that you must manually implement functionality to:

  • Check if a character is uppercase
  • Check if a character is lowercase
  • Check if a character is a letter
  • Convert a lowercase letter to an uppercase letter

We encode characters in UTF-8 and limit input to ASCII character encoding.
